I'm going to let the judges looks at this one more time. By your scoring

point totals after first round

Roukka Bay 79 points
Venger - 76 points
Thasher - 70 points
Halo - 60 points.

please just confirm your winner, no scoring necessary.

Rouka Bay for the win, the creativity here was great on all of them but RB here looks like it could have been a DCD product and the story works so he could have been a real character for the Blues, hey maybe Johns will have him be the next recruited BL ! wouldnt that be something.

Nice work to everyone here.

I love the others for different reasons, but yes --- Roukka. He looks the most "different" I guess.

And I'll be honest ... he creeps me out. I mean, really disturbs me. It's like the male stripper who daylights as the Red Robin mascot got picked up by a blue ring and was carted off to be with other people as creepy as he is. And those Blue Lanterns really creep me out, all of them.

IMO i have to go with Halo. Something about the Roukka just doesn't do it for me. Venger was awesome but I agree with one of the judges when they said that he just didn't seem to be a Lantern. Thrasher was also quite nice but yeah...I gotta go with Halo.  Grin

although venger was nice and I can't ever
fault a matt hancock creation,
I would not have advanced this
to the final round for one simple reason.

the lack of a green lantern logo,
without the context of this contest there was no way
to know this was a GL, that logo is known throughout
the DCU and stands for something.

the only reason I know it's green lantern is the story told me so.

of the other finalist, i would have to go with Roukka.

It is creative and unique.

I think there is one other entry that could have gave it run
but it did not advance. and no it's not my entry.

mine was a simple one to balance the harder ones I had in the other category.

if I had more time I would have doe a star wars one but I was laid off too.

that effected what i wanted to do with Koth, I wanted more Klingon detail from another figure
but could not see spending more money on a competition that I was not going to win.

yes that was me, it was a simple head swap, well not so simple the head didn't fit
and i had to build up the neck to make it work. as I said I ran out of funds for it.

But it really wasn't supposed to win, I merely wanted to compete in that one.

I believe judges were tired of novelty entries by then, which i completely understand due to
some entries being quite  "NOVEL".

I would have liked to seen more entries set in known universes such as Star Trek, Star Wars,
Lord of the Rings or Terminator

such as mine and matt's

The Turtles was an excellent example of this and felt it deserved more props.

Maybe if I had put it on another day, who knows?

I liked the Aliens vs Predator which fit this, but judges thought otherwise.

anyway, Roukka was the last entry I received which I predicted to my friend Tim it would win.

I still stand by my judgement of that.

more original entries in unknown universes would have been nice too.

another funny note, Halo by Super Marvel was the first entry I received and it advanced too.

weird huh?
