That tribute to Cap is awesome. Brought a tear to my eye.
Gladiator is frightening - incredible detail. Same for Viscrael - how long did it take you to do all those eyes?!?!
Wolvie is excellent.
Great job all around Uncle.

For some reason I'm thinking they're googly eyes.
Awesome work all around.

78t-tops... I love doing detail work and the finishing touches on a figure. I don't guess I could ever get finished if I didn't just say enough is enough, I have been known to overkill something too!
monkeypops... I almost painted that Cap statue solid bronze looking!
Starman... I hope they keep getting better
Talon... I'm gonna repaint that Zombie-Gladiator sometime this year, because the cape is alittle sticky. I'm still learning everyday!
carboner... that Wolvy was a fan favorite...too bad he is no longer with us.
titansfan... thank ya sir!
fp_spirit... lol@the tear! yeah, those eyes are googly eyes! I just used some hot glue to stick them on. Not too long attaching them all.
Jackknight... thanks Jack!
Sinestro... thanks bro! I wish I still had him since I got a raw deal on it!
M1... thanks Mel! Making ugly shit is easy for me...hard to do nice stuff! lol!

Kyle Rayner as ION

ION Custom Action Figure SOLD FOR $36
the following is quoted from WIZARD#187... KYLE RAYNER, the savior of the Green Lantern Corps just happens to be the guy next door. Kyle Rayner was gifted with the final Green Lantern ring after Hal Jordan went mad as Parallax and destroyed the Corps. The sole carrier of the green torch for years, Rayner fought with no other GL's by his side before recently becoming Ion, a sort of special agent for the Corps. He's indicative of a new breed of DCU hero, a brash young upstart trying to find his footing while carrying on the traditions of a cosmic legacy. "He's more of a dreamer than Hal, John Stewart or Guy Gardner, which gives him a unique perspective as a galactic peacekeeper. He relies on his imagination, which is sometimes more powerful than being a guy who plays it solely by the book," says Paul Dini. Safeguarding the tradition of the Green Lantern Corps earned Kyle the role of Ion- a kind of all-powerful GL. And just like Donna Troy, a Monitor has approached Kyle and called him an anomaly.
RECIPE:
Base Figure: TNA Christian Cage
Height: 6.00 inches
sanded down the boots and face. vinyl for the guantlets. drilled a hole in foot for use of the ML clear flight stand. hand painted it and applied some airbrushing for the star effect and shading)
I was messing around with photoshop and wanted to make this like a movie poster...

Talon... thanks! after I had made the Quasar/Neutron figure from the Imperial guard and found out I could do a star effect pretty good and it was fun too, I figured I would try another one that could use a star effect
Nite Owl... thank you sir. I guess it is good to see where we have come from and our progress, you guys are all great over here and as they say....STEEL SHARPENS STEEL
carboner... thanks, I wish he would've sold for more than $36 on Ebay , though...lol!
fp_spirit... no, photography is one of my weaknesses. I suck at it cause of the lighting situation in my truck. my best friend bought me a light tent for Christmas and I still take horrible pics
Gonza... yep, that was me. that was in '07 when ION was made. I'm like 2 1/2 yrs behind in posting over here and trying to catch up to the present! thank you for your comment
